Claire May Spohn

Claire M. Spohn 93, passed away on August 8, 2017, at the Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Walla Walla.

Claire was born on August 9, 1923 in Walla Walla, WA to Clem O. and Emma M. Smith Bergevin. She attended Walla Walla schools and graduated from WA-HI, class of 1942. On August 2, 1947, Claire married the love of her life, Robert E. Spohn. The couple raised three children, Susan, Ronald and Robert.

Claire loved to have family and friends over for meals, visiting and playing cards. She enjoyed planting and work on her flowers, especially her roses. Claire adopted every stray cat that showed up until their demise. She was always happy, cheerful and would do anything for the people she cared about.

Claire is survived by her daughter: Susan (Roger) Shively of Fort Collins, CO; 2 Sons: Ronald and Robert Spohn both of Walla Walla, WA; Sister: Mary Armstrong of Arizona; Twin Brother: Claro Bergevin of Walla Walla, WA. 2 Grandchildren: Jesse Shively and Josh (Ashley) Shively; Great Grandchild, Max Shively and numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert F. Spohn; 1 Sister, Marjorie Bryan and Sister-in-Law: Betty Bergevin.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Mountain View Cemetery with Deacon Jim Barrow, officiating.
