Charlotte Fazzari passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at the Washington Odd Fellows Home at the age of 93.
Charlotte was born at her home in Walla Walla to John and Jenny Fazzari on April 16, 1922. She was the second of the three children. Her parents were both immigrants from Italy. Her cousin, Angie Perri, also grew up with them and was considered to be another sister.
Charlotte grew up helping on her parents’ farm on the Yellowhawk in southern Walla Walla. She attended St. Vincent Academy and graduated in 1941.
She attended Business College after high school. As a young adult professional, she was hired by Dayl Graves the year he opened his automobile dealership in downtown Walla Walla. She became the office manager there and worked for over three decades as a part of the Dayl Graves (formerly Graves Anderson) team. Being a part of this company and spending her days with the people she worked with was a very important part of her life. She liked to say she watched Mark Graves grow up and then he became her boss.
During her free time, Charlotte spent many hours with her beloved brother and sister and niece and nephews on many holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. She traveled to Italy with her sister and was able to visit relatives of their parents. In her retirement years, Charlotte became involved in real estate and again enjoyed working with and for the public. She worked for many years as a part-time Realtor with her close friend and business associate, Jim Paradise. She was always quick to smile and always had something positive to say.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sam (Marie) Fazzari; sister, Mary (Paul) Goodall; and cousin, Angie Perri Nash. She is survived by a niece, six nephews, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
