Carol S. Patton, 62, died June 30, 2014, at home after a lengthy illness.

Carol was born in Aberdeen, Washington, on June 6, 1952, to Leonard Ole and Jessie Blanche (Reed) Christoffer, and graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1970. She was the youngest of eight children.

Carol married John Brannock in Aberdeen in 1968 and they later divorced. She married Robert Patton in 1980 and they later divorced.

Carol had lived in Waitsburg, Washington for many years, and in the 1990s, she and Robert owned and operated the Jackpot convenience store.

Carol was very active in the Walla Walla Elks Lodge.

Survivors include four sons, Tad Brannock and wife Kitzi, Neal Brannock and wife Kiva, Kristoffer Patton, all of Waitsburg, Lee Brannock and wife Kim, of Bend, Oregon, and special friend and Partner, Donald Schmidt, at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Walla Walla Elks Lodge, 351 E. Rose St. Memorial donations may be made to the Walla Walla Elks Lodge for the Building Fund or a charity of their choice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
