Carol Brooks-Jackson
Carol Brooks–Jackson, 55, passed away at Kadlec Hospital in Richland, WA on Dec. 13, 2011.
She was born July 19, 1956 in Parsons, KS to Goldie & Lawrence Brooks. She moved from Kansas to Touchet at age 6 and attended schools there.
She had varied interests through the years. She always loved to sing with the radio and had her own antics to go with it. She was at her best on the bubblegum music. “Going to the Chapel” was a favorite.
She is survived by 4 children: David & Daniel Young of Walla Walla, Twins, Heidi Muirhead of Walla Walla, & Heather Muirhead of Silver Springs, Maryland. 9 grandchildren, Robby, Shakia, Arianna, Gabe, Shy, Elizabeth, Jerrie, April, and Oden; her mother & step-father, Goldie & L.D. McCubbins of Walla Walla; 4 sisters, Ellen Brooks-Bender of Umapine & Sibyl Brooks-Johnson of Clarkston, Connie Beaver-Dirks of LaGrande, OR & Marsha Beaver-Meyers of Milton Freewater & sister in-law, Gail McGhee of Walla Walla. She was also survived by numerous half & step siblings. She was preceded in death by her father & her beloved brother, George (Bub) Brooks and her husband, Jefferey Jackson.
She was very much loved by her family and takes a piece of our heart with her. Rest In Peace with Bub.
A private family graveside service will be held at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Society through the Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
