She lived in Walla Walla for the remainder of her life. Carla attended College Place Public School and Walla Walla High School, graduating in 1957.

On March 2, 1959, she married William (Bill) E. Berry. They had two sons, Bill, born (1960), and Mike, born (1964). The family enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on the South Fork of the Walla Walla River. They went camping and fishing throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Carla was a skilled seamstress. She made many items over the years, including Halloween costumes for her sons and nieces. She was a wonderful candy and cookie creator. Carla was an avid exerciser. She walked 5 or 6 miles each day, attended Jazzercise, and the YMCA. Carla belonged to a Bunko group that began in 1964. She was one of the original members.

She loved getting together once a month with her Bunco friends. But unfortunately, she had to stop because of Alzheimer’s Disease. She moved to Parkview Memory Care in November 2022.

Carla was a very caring and kind person. She will be missed by her friends and family.
