Bonnie Lee Johnson, married for 67 years to her Dayton High School sweetheart Bob, and daughter to Wayne and Elsie Fry passed away Tuesday April 22, 2014.
Bonnie was one of those individuals whose spirit was always charged by being with people. In 1972, while receiving the Golden Acorn Award for Service from the Edison PTA, the president remarked "She reminds me of the mailman concerning sports, as neither hail nor sleet, snow nor rain keeps her from attending any game when her child is participating."
Being an adept multi-tasker, Bonnie was active in her church, a Den Mother, leader of Campfire Girls and 4-H, YMCA swim team officer, Rainbow Girls committee member, squeezing in painting and piano playing. And, in her spare moments, she always filled her home to overflowing with family and friends, fed, clothed, and drove anyone who was in need, all while maintaining a 150 pin bowling average.
Bonnie is survived by husband Bob, two brothers, Max and Ken, four children Ron, Karen, Mike and Mark, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Norma.
Without question, Bonnie is happily enjoying the company of all her friends and family that have preceded her. Once again her home in Heaven is overflowing.
