B. Darlene Mings

Betsy “Darlene” Mings was born on February 27, 1945, in Dayton, WA, and peacefully passed away at Providence St Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington, on February 28, 2026, surrounded by her children. She had just celebrated her 81st birthday before succumbing to lymphoma. In September 2023, she moved from College Place, WA, to Starbuck, WA. Her parents were Rodney and Marian Randolph of Dayton. Darlene married Dave Nagle (1965-1973) and later Lynn Mings (1976-1988).

Darlene attended Star School in Dayton and later graduated from Dayton High School. She pursued trade school for bookkeeping and retired after more than 30 years with Walla Walla Clinic.

For many years, Darlene took great pride in teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She participated in missions in Guatemala and Hawaii and fostered close friendships with members of the First Assembly of God in Walla Walla.

She enjoyed volunteering for organizations such as Christian Aide, Christian Women’s, BMAC, and The Rose Society. Darlene loved crafts, gardening, coffee with friends, and celebrating birthdays with balloons, confetti, banners, and homemade cakes for each child.

She is survived by her children: Tammy Trusty, Teresa Tetley, Traci Mings, Shane Mings, and Jake Mings; as well as her sisters, Irene Gagnon and Donna Surry. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Evelyn Kitterman and Margerie Brown.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Starbuck Cemetery, followed by a meal at Starbuck Community Church.
