Bernice Evelyn Gilcher

Bernice Gilcher, 90, of Wenatchee passed away peacefully on Sunday October 2, 2011.

She was born on March 14, 1921 in Woodland, WA to Matthew and Anna Nehr. She spent her school years in Woodland, where she met her husband Marshall "Jack" Gilcher. They were married on December 31, 1938.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Baker of Wenatchee; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, and son Micheal.

Viewing & visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. The Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
