Beatrice Peterson Torretta
passed away peacefully
at home on Jan. 13, 2016.
She was born in Brockton, Mass., to Margaret and
Hjalmar Peterson.
She met Andrew Torretta in Brockton while he was
serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. They
married on Jan. 21, 1946, and headed for Walla Walla.
She is preceded in death by her husband. Survived by
daughter, Helena Torretta of Ninilchik, Alaska; son,
Andrew Torretta Jr. of Walla Walla; grandsons, Michael
Puller of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Wade Puller of
Soldotna, Alaska; great-grandchildren, Jordynn Secchiaroli
of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Joshua Puller of
Fairbanks, Alaska; sister, Marion Newton; nephew,
Daniel Newton both of Lakevile, Mass.
Viewing was held today, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. Burial
will be Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery.
No service will be held. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Humane Society or donors choice
through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315
W. Alder, Walla Walla.
