Barton “Bart” Charles Harvey passed away unexpectedly September 13, 2024, at the age of 75. Bart was born March 29, 1949, in Walla Walla, Washington to Thomas and Mildred Harvey.
Bart was a 1967 graduate of Walla Walla High School. After graduation, Bart joined the US National Guard and graduated from the Blue Mountain Community College Auto Body Repair program. After completing the program, Bart was employed at Gem Body Shop. Eventually, he opened his own business, Coachman Body and Frame. After his years with Coachman, Bart took over the Walla Walla Snap-On Tool franchise. After 25 years of serving the Walla Walla Valley with top of the line tools, Bart retired in 2015.
Bart was an avid private pilot obtaining his license in 1975. He shared his love of flying with his son, Clay, who became a private pilot at the age of 17. This was a passion they shared for his entire life.
Bart was a dedicated outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gathering Morel mushrooms. He loved taking his jet boat up Hells Canyon. His athletic talents shined through playing golf with his many friends.
Bart married the love of his life, Sheryl Bullock, on December 31, 1994. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this December. Bart and Sheryl had a marriage that all would envy. They were best friends who enjoyed doing everything together. Golfing with friends, taking on construction projects, sturgeon fishing, mushroom hunting and playing cards were just a few of their favorite activities.
Bart was an inspiration to all who knew him. His gregarious, silly personality and his infectious giggle will be sorely missed by all.
Bart is survived by his wife, Sheryl; son, Clay; brother, Richard "Dick" and Jan Harvey; stepsons, Lance and L.G. Bullock; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; cousins, Steve Harvey and Millie Lucarelli; and numerous nieces and nephews.
