Barbara Jean Price

Price, Barbara Jean (age 71) passed away peacefully at home on November 24, 2015. Barb was born Jan 29, 1944 in Walla Walla to James Lamb & Marjorie Johnson Lamb.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Lewis Price of Walla Walla; her son, Kenneth Barclay of Port Angeles; and step daughter, Brinda Barclay Wootress of Dallas Texas; her two brothers, Jim Lamb of Spokane Washington and Bob Lamb of Selah Washington; her aunt, Eva Mae “Effie” Johnson of Walla Walla and quite a few cousins, the Lambs, the Johnsons and Thonney’s. Barb is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Russell Lamb who passed in 2014.

After graduating from Wa-Hi in 1962, she then graduated from Chelsea-Baird Secretarial School in Spokane; she then returned to Walla Walla to work at Baker Boyer. In 1967, she married Kenneth Daniel Barclay and had a son, Kenneth Daniel Barclay Jr. They moved to Alaska, Spokane and back to Alaska where her 1 ^st husband passed away in 1984. She moved back to Spokane for a spell then returned back to her home town of Walla Walla. She met and married Dale Price on June 16, 2006 and they enjoyed their retirement, spending every moment together.

Viewing & visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or charity of the donor’s choice through the funeral home.
