Barbara Ann Locati

Barbara Ann Locati (Barb), went to her eternal rest April 20, 2016, at Walla Walla General Hospital. Barb was born to Carl F. and Dorothy R. (Weeks) Shepard on Dec. 16, 1933, in Tacoma.
The family moved to Walla Walla in December of 1946. At the age of 13, she entered College Place Public Schools, graduating from Walla Walla High School in 1951. She married Gerald L. Locati, May 2,
1954. They had been married for 62 years and had no children. She went to work for Seattle First National Bank, which became Bank of America until her retirement.
After several years she went back to work for Land Title for 13 years. She was a member of the Credit Women Association most of her working years.
She was also a member of the Alter Society at St. Francis Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and inlaws. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; two sisters, Janet Schack (Dan), and Carole Buchheim; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2016, from 2-7 p.m. at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 9 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice thru the funeral home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla.
