Antonia “Toni” Ross of Walla Walla WA, passed away on August 4, 2024, at Washington Odd Fellows Home of Walla Walla; she was 91.
Mrs. Ross was born December 20, 1932, in Marion SD, to Arthur and Gertrude Schulte Dirks. She graduated from Walla Walla High School and began working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers soon after in the Structural Engineering Department.
She met her husband, Dale Ross, in 1955, and they were married at White Temple Baptist Church, Walla Walla, in 1956. They briefly relocated the family to Spokane, WA, in 1964 and returned to Walla Walla in 1968, where her husband began his successful career in residential real estate.
Antonia and her husband were both members of St. Patrick’s Parish and the Elks Lodge 287. She was also President and Regent of Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed golfing, horseback riding, skiing, and most of all, her family, where she cherished her role as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her four daughters, Kim Joseph of Richland, Laura Mckeown, and Andrea Schmidt, both of Walla Walla, and Megan Ross-Karow of Portland OR; son, Trevor Ross of Mukilteo WA; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur, Jan, and David and sister, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 10:00 am in the South Garden Catholic Section of Mountain View Cemetery, 2120 S Second Ave.
