Andrew Miles Lodmell passed away on June 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his father, A. "Miles" Lodmell (Bonnie); sister, Kristie; nieces, Hailey and Samantha; Uncle Dean Lodmell (Betty), Marilyn McAuley, and family.
Born on October 22, 1963, in Walla Walla, WA, Andrew's early years were marked by his involvement in ice-skating, Little League, fishing, and hunting with his dad on Lodmell Farms and at the family cabin. He cherished exploring the Blue Mountains, riding horses, swimming, and spending time with family. As a young man, Andrew attended school on Mercer Island before returning to Walla Walla to study Environmental Sciences at Whitman College from 1982 to 1986. During his time at Whitman, he worked part-time at his dad's Dental Office Lab, was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, served as captain of the Whitman Downhill and Nordic ski teams, and was a DJ for the KWCW radio station. His passion for skiing continued after college as a Ski Instructor at Ski Bluewood, Dayton, WA, and through his participation in Sun Valley's chapter of Ancient Skiers, an event he attended annually with his father. In the late 1980s, Andrew began farming the Lodmell wheat land with his dad, playing a pivotal role in the development of Lodmell Farms and Vineyards, elevating the family's agricultural legacy. He began Lodmell Cellars winemaking at the Port of Walla Walla Incubator with his sister, Kristie. Andrew also had a profound love for travel and embraced diverse cultures, leaving a lasting impact on people from Norway to France to Bali. He is fondly remembered by friends and family for his sense of humor, great hair, love of fireworks, and exceptional taste in music. Andrew will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by Carol Sather Lodmell, Selma Struthers Lodmell, "Tony" Lodmell, DMD, and Kimberly Ann Lodmell.
