Alta Jean Williams

Alta “Jean” Williams passed June 18, 2016, while at
Richland Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
Graveside service will be held Monday, June 27,
2016, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 2120
S. Second Ave.
Mrs. Jean Williams was born June 9, 1934, in Newman
Grove, Neb., to parents Cecil Wesley Hankla
and Pearl Leona Stewart. She was married to
George H. Williams Jr., Walla Walla Fire Chief in
October of 1956.
She graduated from Walla Walla High School in
1952, and then worked for the local telephone company
and the U.S. Postal Service. Jean was also a
charter member of the Walla Walla Wagonettes, a
horse mounted drill team. She also had a passion for
boating, hunting, fishing, and was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her brother, Eudell “Bud” Hankla
of Moses Lake.

Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
