Alice Elizabeth Bailey Davidson

Alice Elizabeth Bailey Davidson, ended her journey Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, in Walla Walla.

Alice was born April 19, 1922, to parents William E. Galloway and Caroline Hansen in Idaho Falls. She later moved to Nampa, with her family, where she attended
school, graduating from Nampa High School in 1940. Alice worked at the telephone company in
Nampa after graduation. She met her husband, Dale S. Bailey, in Nampa while he was working for the Union Pacific Railroad. They were married in 1943. In 1947
they moved to Shoshone, Idaho, where they raised four children. Dale passed away in December 1967.

Alice met her second husband, Robert E. Davidson, in 1970, and they were married in 1971 in Shoshone. Robert, Alice and her youngest son Jim, moved to Walla Walla where Robert was originally from. This was not their only move. Robert’s job took them all over
the world including living in Saudi Arabia and Alaska, visiting different countries along the way. After their world travel, they settled back in Walla Walla. Robert passed away in 2003.

Alice is survived by son, Steve Bailey and wife, Mary, of Inkom, Idaho; daughter, Judy Stockwell and husband, Bob, of Meridian, Idaho; daughter, Janet Stewart
and husband, Gordon, of Calgary, Alberta; son, Jim Bailey and wife, Chris, of Walla Walla; stepdaughter, Joy Gage and husband, Donovan, of Tri-Cities; stepson, Robert Davidson and wife, Kaye, of Plano, Texas;
and stepson, David Davidson of Florida. 17 grandchildren,
24 great-grandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; husband, Dale S. Bailey
in 1967; husband, Robert E. Davidson in 2003; son, Larry Dean Bailey in 1947; and daughter, Jamie Ruby Bailey in 1953.

Viewing & visitation is Friday, Nov. 9, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla. Funeral services Saturday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in College Place. Gravesite services Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Shoshone cemetery in Shoshone, Idaho. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
