Lifelong Walla Walla resident Albert Sept passed away January 17, 2015 at the age of 90. Albert was born December 4, 1924 to Jacob and Catherine Schaub Sept. He attended Walla Walla schools and was drafted into the Navy in 1943 where he proudly served in the Marshall Islands for two and a half years. There, he was a signal man and became an Advanced Ham Radio Operator. On return to Walla Walla, he owned and operated a service station on the corner of 9th and Main. In 1950, Albert started a 37 year career with the telephone company retiring as an installer in 1987. In 1951, he married Colleen Powers. Colleen passed away in 1990.

November 11, 2011, he married his best friend of 20 years, Lois Harvey, whom he had known since High School. Albert loved fishing at Bennington Lake, enjoyed ham radios and bowling. Albert was a man who could fix most anything and enjoyed doing so.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ed; sister, Emma; first wife, Colleen and step son, Sandy. He is survived by his wife, Lois; nephew, Bob Drinkard; nieces, Christina Farrell, Penny Lowden and Sharon Sept; step sons, Steve (Jan) Harvey and Bob Harvey.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday January 22, 2015 at Mt. View Cemetery Mausoleum at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walla Walla Humane Society or American Diabetes Association through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
