Alan Ray Bollinger passed away on November 7, 2023, surrounded by family. Alan was born on May 6, 1965, to Linda (Tinker) and Ivan Bollinger. He was a twin to Kelly Bollinger and brother to Debbie Bollinger (Kentch). Alan graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1984 and became a loyal and dedicated employee for 40 years at Loney's Harvest Foods and, later on, Walla Walla's Harvest Foods. Alan truly enjoyed the people he met during his employment here. While employed at Loney's, he met his wife, Mary, whom he married on September 21, 1996. Alan welcomed his daughter, Destinee, in August 1997 and his son, Tanner, in May 2001.
Alan's "other baby" (his Silverwing Motorcycle) was one of his pride and joys, and he could be seen riding around town in his free time. Alan loved his motorcycle and the people he rode with and that he met along the way. Alan was a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan and could be heard cheering them on from any room in the house (or the neighbor's house). Wherever you were, you knew where he was because of his very distinct laugh that could put a smile on anybody's face and add a little light into a rough day. Alan was an animal lover; he enjoyed every one of the pets that his children brought home, from rabbits to cats, to guinea pigs, to chickens (what a circus), and, of course, dogs! He loved them like they were members of the family (because they were). Most recently, Alan was the one to bring home a sweet black lab puppy. Alan loved that puppy for the rest of his life.
Alan enjoyed camping, spending time with family, and loved collecting rocks and gems.
Alan is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Destinee of Walla Walla; son, Tanner of College Place; mother, Linda Tinker of Walla Walla; sister, Debbie Bollinger Kentch (Roger) of Touchet; brother, Kelly Bollinger of Walla Walla; and multiple nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews of surrounding areas.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ivan Bollinger; his grandmother and grandfather, Juanita and Vernon Strode; and his aunt, Patricia Clapp.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and all are welcome.
